About Me
I'm a career fire and life safety educator and public information officer. I've been serving my community in this role since 1991. Prior to my career position I served as a volunteer firefighter and paramedic. I've also enjoyed a career in broadcasting.

I'm serving as Vice President of the National Information Officers Association and will take the helm as president in late August 2008.

I also enjoy my avocations of singer/songwriter, jingle producer, and voiceover talent. Be sure to look for my children's safety songs CD (Sing a Song for Safety) on iTunes, at CDBaby and at my site http://richpalmer.com.

The CD placed 3rd place overall and Best of Show in the education category at the 2007 American Burn Association Annual Meeting in San Diego!
